At our recent Lunch & Learn, we heard from two presenters who shared valuable insights on employee engagement and retention.
Greg Keith from Sunshine House Financial walked us through the Chamber Group Insurance Plan, highlighting how it makes it possible for more small businesses to offer employee benefits at an affordable rate. This is especially important considering that 88% of job seekers consider benefits when evaluating job opportunities, and 80% of current employees would choose better benefits over a pay raise.
We also heard from Sheri Deveau of Practical Human Resources Solutions Inc., who shared a range of effective strategies for improving employee retention. She emphasized the importance of creating a positive workplace culture and outlined several supports available to small businesses, including access to five free hours of HR support through Working NB.
